This course will teach you the basic principles of software HMI ergonomics. You’ll learn how to design accessible, useful, effective, enjoyable human-machine interfaces for all end users. You’ll also learn how to model and audit your HMIs, model target users, optimize a home page, and improve accessibility and navigation elements.

Teaching objectives
At the end of the training, the participant will be able to:

  • Critically analyze an interface and suggest recommendations to improve its ergonomics

  • Understand the existing standards and different techniques for mastering software interface quality
  • Create a software HMI model using a design tool
  • Audit the quality of an existing interface based on the ergonomics criteria presented
  • Set up a user test scenario, implement it, and analyze its results
